Introduction to Cooking

Mrs. Ronda began learning to cook at age 10 and grew up growing, harvesting, and preserving food. She brings years of restaurant experience, concession work, and large‑group cooking, along with deep knowledge of cooking, baking, prep, safety, and storage.

The purpose of this class is to jumpstart students' knowledge in the kitchen. They will learn key tips for packing lunches and about snacks. How to identify and use kitchen tools, gadgets and appliances. Students will learn about many things, from cleaning and preparing fruits and vegetables to other food products and taste. Measuring and recipes and labels, food safety, and more. Each class will be doing different things, different snacks and food items. Students will be tasting items and having something to snack on and drink
