Join instructor Shannon Polson for a 45 minute strength and cardio session! Focus on a more efficient way of living with specifically designed strength exercises while increasing your endurance with light cardio. Each session includes a warmup and cool down where we'll focus on balance and flexibility. No equipment is needed; however if you have a pair of light weights, please bring them to class! No exercise experience is needed. Wear comfortable clothes, proper footwear, and bring a water bottle. Let your child join our Baton class and learn how to master baton terminology and develop essential twirling skills while enhancing their hand-eye coordination. Battle of the Books is for students in Grades 3-5 who love to read. Students will read 6 books and discuss, ask questions, and prepare for the "game show" battle about the books. Students will need to read outside of school to prepare for each meeting. T-shirt included with registration! First Thursday of the month from 3:45-4:30 Nov. 6 - Parents are welcome to attend the first meeting for information on Battle of the Books, but not required Dec. 4 Jan. 8 Feb. 5 Mar. 5 April 2 May 7 The Battle will be held in May 2025 at a location to be determined. $50 dollar fee for missed Behind the Wheel session

Students who completed classroom instruction with another organization may participate in 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training with our licensed staff. Participants must register for this course, prior to driving with one of our licensed staff. Instructors will be assigned based on availability. Welcome to ECFE! This is the perfect space to meet other parents with infants, sing and read to your baby, share community resources, and talk about parenting during this incredible beginning. A licensed parent educator will lead discussions that include infant and maternal care. The questions never end during this incredible time in your child's development. Topics will vary week to week. Hermantown Fire Department will host Car Seat Checks the 2nd Thursday of every month. They are by appointment only from 9:00a-7:00p. They will take 10 vehicles. Show up to the Hermantown Fire Department, 5111 Maple Grove Road, Hermantown, at your scheduled time and a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) will assist you with installation, use, adjustments, safety recommendations, and answer your questions. A unique opportunity for caregivers to meet weekly with our licensed parent educator and other caregivers to discuss questions that pop up throughout the week about parenting and child development. Topics are solely lead by participants. All children attending must be able to ride in a stroller or baby carrier. During the winter months we will move into the Aspirus St. Luke's Sports and Event Center walking track.

The Circle of Security Parenting Program is a quarterly (Q4) class that uses decades of research to help parents develop and strengthen secure parent-child relationships. This intensive class teaches parents and caregivers to better understand the emotional needs of their children, how to support their child's ability to manage and improve self-esteem, and how to honor parents' innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure. Together, we will focus on learning how to both read your toddler's emotional needs and help them successfully manage these emotions. Babies 0-4 months may remain with their caregiver during class; all other children must attend childcare.
