Rails Volleyball Summer Camp-Summer 2026
Rails Volleyball Summer Camp Get prepared for the 2026 volleyball season! We will focus on conditioning, skill development, teamwork, and having fun. Please bring a water bottle and (inside only) volleyball shoes. Camps run 8:30am-10:30am, Monday-Thursday, June 15-July 31 in the Field House. Pool Noodle Beaded Lizard
Kids design and build their own flexible, floaty lizard using colorful pool noodle beads and paracord. After threading the foam pieces to form the lizard’s body and tying simple knots to finish the head and tail, each student takes home a lightweight creature that floats, wiggles, and glides in water. These lizards are perfect for kids to enjoy later in their own backyard, at the beach, pool, or during summer water play. -

Reading Pals - Summer 2026 (Grades K-3)
Reading Pals is an incredible free program supported by the Northland Foundation that aims to connect schools and communities while developing youth literacy. This program is designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to partner with adult volunteers who are passionate about reading and mentorship. Each session is carefully crafted to include 30 minutes of reading and 30 minutes of a small art craft/activity. -

Teen Team Summer (Kids' Zone Volunteer program)
Teen Team: Youth Volunteer Program Civic engagement is an important step in the growth of our youth. The Teen Team program provides students with an exciting opportunity to volunteer in a positive environment while developing valuable leadership skills for school and home. Program Overview Students will volunteer at one of our three Kids' Zone sites under the direct supervision of Kids' Zone staff. Each teen will be encouraged to engage, develop, and build positive relationships with elementary students, their peers, and our staff members. Eligibility This opportunity is available for youth who have successfully completed 6th grade. Scheduling & Hours Days: Monday through Friday Time Commitment: A limit of 4 hours per day for volunteering will be strictly enforced. Flexibility: Schedules will be determined based on student availability. We look forward to helping your teen build leadership skills and give back to the community! -

FTC Robotics Team-Hermantown Middle School
Hermantown FIRST TECH CHALLENGE (FTC®) 2025-2026 competitive season Code, Design, and Compete with Robots! FIRST® Tech Challenge students work together with their mentors to design and build robots to compete in a dynamic and exciting challenge released every September. Teams program classroom-scale robots to follow autonomous commands before student drivers take control in two-on-two matches. On and off the field, students develop STEM skills, engage in community outreach, practice engineering innovation, and build confidence to help them succeed. Due to the popularity of this program, we are creating a second team this season! Who: Team selected students in grades 7-12, age 12-18 Dates: Sundays and Tuesdays starting September 7, 2025- February 15, 2026 Time: 5:30-8:30 PM in the MS Lecture hall and robotics room Cost: $200 Amelia Magnuson is the lead contact. STEAM Academy: Robotics & Engineering Grades 1–2 | Instructed by Mrs. Graves Grades 3–5 | Instructed by Mr. Kemp Get ready to build, code, and create! In this hands-on STEAM Academy course, students will dive into the exciting world of robotics and engineering. Through five dynamic sessions, young innovators will explore problem-solving, design thinking, and coding fundamentals—all while developing essential 21st-century skills. Each student will work with robot kits, use iPads for programming, and engage with curated project materials designed to spark creativity and collaboration. Whether they're constructing their first robot or coding a new challenge, learners will be guided by experienced educators in a fun, supportive environment. Students must participate in the Level 1 intro class before registering for the Level 2 class Let’s build the future—one robot at a time! -
Hermantown Speed & Strength Training (Summer 2026)
Led by coach Greg Aker, Hermantown Speed and Strength Training will be taking place over the course of 6 weeks at Hermantown High School from Monday, June 29th, through Friday, August 7th. This training program is for students entering grades 8-12 only. There is no class on July 3rd. Below is additional information for interested participants. If you have any questions, please contact Greg Aker at gaker@isd700.org. To be considered a registered participant, a payment of $100 must be made by the deadline. Payments must be submitted online through the Community Ed website (ph.arux.app) Schedule: Monday through Friday starting June 29th and ending August 7th Three A.M. sessions offered: Session 1: 8:00-9:15 Session 2: 9:15-10:30 Session 3: 10:30-11:45 Any session is an option for participants on any given day to accommodate participants and their summer schedules Adjustments to the schedule will be made on an as-needed basis -

Each session may include crafts, cooking projects, games, storytelling, and other hands-on experiences that spark conversation, creativity, and friendships across age groups. This welcoming program encourages participants to learn from one another, share skills and life experiences, and build meaningful community connections—all while having fun together. *Students will be picked up and dropped off at Bay View Elementary School (Cafeteria). -
DASH Multi-sport camp
DASH Sports Summer Multi-Sport camp includes fun skills training and games in three sports: Soccer, Basketball, and Flag Football. Key sports skills will be taught and practiced in all 3 sports so athletes will come out of camp with a great understanding of key skill components and gameplay of each sport. Camp ends with games/scrimmages the final day for each sport, where athletes can showcase their skills. Campers should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle, snack and wear athletic shoes and clothing. All equipment is provided. -
DASH Pickleball Camp
Pickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. DASH Sports SummerPickleball camps provide participants with an introductory experience to the game in a fun and positive atmosphere. Emphasis is on technique and game play. Key elements of serving, returning, volleys, overheads, and lobbing will be taught and practiced. Camp ends with games on the final day. Participants should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle and a snack. Campers should bring a pickleball paddle (if you don’t have one, we will provide paddles). Balls and all otherequipment are provided. -
TYKES - Sport Sampler
DASH Sports Sampler camps provide players with an introductory experience to two popular sports games. This camp includes instruction in Soccer and T-ball. Little athletes will learn how to run, throw, catch, kick, and more! This camp ends on the final day with fun scrimmages and games. Participants should bring a baseball glove, a water bottle, and wear athletic clothing & shoes. All other equipment is provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year-old age group. -
Fairy House Camp
In this camp, we will make a multi-storied fairy home, furniture, and fairy dolls to go with it. Note to parents: Arrive at Ugstad Circle Doors in AM to be let into the building. Please pack sunscreen, a water bottle, and a small nut-free snack each day. Weather permitting, a portion of the class sessions may be spent outdoors. -
Intro to Game Design
If you like playing video games, you’ll love designing them! Trained instructors will teach students how to program their own video games using an engaging program called Kodu. They will create their own world, populate it with characters, and then play the games they create during class. Students will learn important programming skills while having tons of fun, with no prior experience needed! -

Superbouce, Jail, 4-square, Champion of the Court, Slime, and many more! Every day a new tennis game will be introduced. This camp will be hosted by Hermantown Hawk Varsity players under the direction of Head Coach Jessica Worden. We will meet at the Tennis court by the Hermantown Learning Center. -
Tennis Match Play l Grades 2-5
This is designed to introduce match play for those students who are new to tennis. We will focus on serves, scoring, and rally points. Perfect way for students who are eager to start competing and taking their game to the next level. Match play will be on an appropriate size court and with appropriate balls. -
Work Hard, Play Hard: Small group reading tutoring
Work Hard, Play Hard: Small‑Group Reading with Teacher Kim Wilson For Incoming Hermantown First Graders – Fall 2026 This small‑group class is designed for young readers who would benefit from extra support as they enter first grade. Groups are kept intentionally small—no more than four students—to ensure each child receives focused attention, targeted instruction, and plenty of encouragement! Students will practice essential reading skills such as phonics, decoding, fluency, and comprehension through a mix of structured lessons and hands‑on activities. Alongside academics, children will also have time to play, collaborate, and build confidence with peers! This class is ideal for families looking to strengthen foundational reading skills while giving their child a fun, social, and positive learning experience! -
TYKES Soccer (Ages 2-6)
⚽ DASH Sports Soccer Tykes Camp gives young athletes a fun and energetic introduction to the world’s most popular sport. Through engaging skill-based drills and mini-games, players will learn the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting, and defending—all while building coordination, confidence, and teamwork in a positive environment. Athletes should bring a water bottle, wear athletic clothing and tennis shoes. DASH Sports Summer Track & Field camps provide participants with practice in several areas including: sprinting, throwing (javelin and shot put), relay running, long jumping and distance running. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. All players will be timed/tested on the first and last day. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, a snack, and wear athletic clothing/shoes.
